Have you newly bought an SMC router for your home or office network? For the initial setup, you need to access the administration panel. Before you access the administration panel you need to make sure that your computer is connected to the network and SMC router. Firstly you must login to the configuration panel of the router in order to secure your wireless broadcast.
Accessing SMC Router Setup
- Open the Web browser you have installed on your computer and type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar and hit Enter button. You will see administration panel for your SMC router on your screen.
- The default password is “smcadmin”. Enter the password in the given field and press “Login” button.
- You need to select “Setup Wizard.” You can select the “Advanced Setup” in case you wish to configure the advanced settings of your router.
