  • Press ‘Next’
  • Below ‘Account Name’ you will enter your complete Windows Live Hotmail address such as abcd@hotmail.com
  • In the ‘Password:’ field you will enter your Windows Live Hotmail password.
  • Press ‘Next’
  • Press ‘Finish’
  • In the Internet Accounts window, you need to highlight ‘imap-mail.outlook.com’
  • Press ‘Properties’
  • Head over to the ‘Servers’ tab
  • Below ‘Outgoing Mail Server’, check ‘My server requires authentication’
  • Navigate to the ‘Advanced’ tab.
  • Be sure that you have checked ‘This server requires a secure connection’ below ‘Outgoing mail (SMTP): and Incoming mail (IMAP):’
  • Below ‘Outgoing server (SMTP)’ you need to enter ‘587’
  • The number below ‘Incoming server (IMAP)’ will change to 993 automatically. If it doesn’t, change it to 993.
  • Press ‘Ok’.

  • Below ‘Server Port Numbers | Incoming mail (POP3):’ you will enter ‘2000’
  • Press ‘Ok’.
  • Click ‘Close’.
