AT&T is the United States-based telecommunication company known for offering a number of services such as telephone, the Internet and cell phone services. You can enjoy wireless internet anywhere in your home by simply upgrading your existing AT&T cable Internet. Wireless Internet without using a router is not possible. For this purpose, you need to configure your AT&T router in order to be able to use it.
To Configure Your AT&T Wireless Router, Follow Simple Steps
- First of all, you need to plug power cable of the router into wall outlet. The Ethernet adapter in the computer is to be connected to one of the LAN ports on the router. The physical shape of the Ethernet cable is very much like a telephone cable except it is twice as thick
- You need to plug one end of the Ethernet cable into your broadband modem and the other end into the WAN port on the router. If both ends of the cable are plugged in properly, you will see solid green lights on your router.
- Your Internet security software may create problems for you to access the configuration pages. So make sure the Internet security software is disabled.
- Open Control Panel and then open “Internet Options” by double clicking it. Restore the settings to the default by clicking the button. You will find this action below the security tab.
