  • Windows Live Hotmail password will be entered below ‘Password’
  • Click ‘Finish’

  • In the ‘Mail Accounts’ window, you will highlight the Windows Live Hotmail account.
  • Click Properties
  • Head over to the ‘General’ tab
  • Below ‘Email address’ now is the time to enter “.com” to your Windows Live Hotmail address.
  • Next, you will change the ‘Account Name:’ to ‘Windows Live Hotmail’
  • Navigate to the Servers tab
  • Below “Outgoing Mail Server”, you must check ‘My server requires authentication’

  • The mail server offered by Gmail or AIM Mail can be used in case you don’t have any SMTP server available.
  • Press Next
  • Below ‘Username’ you will enter your full Windows Live Hotmail username
  • You will enter your full Windows Live Hotmail password below ‘Password’
  • Press ‘Finish’
  • Press ‘Ok’
  • Highlight the Windows Live Hotmail account in the Mail Accounts window
  • Press ‘Properties’
  • Now is the time to enter the missing ‘.com’ part to your Windows Live Hotmail address below Email address
  • You will set the ‘Account Name’ to ‘Windows Live Hotmail’
  • Navigate to the ‘Advanced’ tab
  • Below ‘Server Port Number | Incoming Mail (POP3)’ you will type ‘2000’
  • Press Ok
